Hey, speaking of eyes, it turns out that I didn't have a whole lot in the way of eye shadow...when you can't see it, you don't bother much with it. But when we were in Austin last weekend, I went to the makeup department at Nordstrom and had a mini makeover on my eyes, and came away with this palette of shadow:
So many colors!!!
I played around with the makeup, and then took this picture to document my eyes at four weeks post-surgery - I'm really pleased with how good my eyelids are looking:
Oh, I also had a bunch of layers cut into my hair last week, so the natural wave is back, which makes styling it so easy and fast. Good thing, since now I'm spending extra time with makeup!

Remember the plants we bought at the plant sale about a month ago? Well, I had a pleasant surprise with the trio of little green plants - they have tiny blooms on them:
They look like little Mickey Mouses, if Mickey Mouse had red ears and a purple face.

I've been busy with knitting my sweater, and used up my first skein of the tan yarn, so I wound the next one. Since I had my yarn swift and winder out, I went ahead and wound the next skein of blue - or rather, I tried to wind it. Sometimes hand-dyed yarn is not reskeined properly after dying, and you get a mess:
UGH. This is not fun to deal with - you have to hand wind the ball of yarn, weaving in and out of all the tangles.
A week later, and this is as far as I've gotten - I can only do so much before I stop out of frustration.
All of that yarn winding cut into my knitting time, but I have made some good progress on the body of my sweater:
I am finished with the decreases (you can see them on the left side), I knit some straight rows, and now I'm starting the increases (for the hip area). It's coming along, and best of all, I am really liking how it's turning out!
I still don't have that last sock to show you. Seriously, I have about a quarter inch of ribbing to finish and then bind off, but this last week has been either all sweater, or all yarn winding.

We are in town this weekend, yay! Of course we have our regular run on tap tomorrow, but I'm hoping the weather holds out and I can start pressure washing our driveway. Living large over here, yes I am. Have a great weekend!
